Disconnect an Edge Device

you can disconnect your edge device from your belden horizon data manager (bhdm) when it is no longer needed follow these steps to disconnect an edge device before you begin ensure you have at least one edge device activated in your bhdm see docid\ bbgh94p0zhjuz0juao6by for more information step 1 navigate to edge devices from your bhdm dashboard, open the edge devices page step 2 deactivate the device you must first deactivate the device before disconnecting it from bhdm to deactivate an edge device for the edge device you want to disconnect, click the action menu and select deactivate the deactivation dialog box appears select the checkbox to force deactivation and click deactivate caution deactivation is an irreversible process if not done carefully, you may lose all device configurations step 3 remove the device once you have deactivated the device, you can safely remove it to remove an edge device navigate to the edge management page again click the action menu and select delete the deletion dialog box appears to remove the device permanently, click the delete button confirm that the disconnected device is no longer in the edge devices table
