From the *Activation* pane, you can do the following:

- Activate the Belden Horizon Data Operations device with Belden Horizon Data Manager. See [Activate an Edge Device](docId\:Dx7Ltfke9HcGPQpjOm-du) to learn more. 
- From the *License *tab, you can:
  - Configure a license server. 
  - Manage node-locked licenses for the Belden Horizon Data Operations device. 
  - View the current Belden Horizon Data Operations version and License ID.
  - View the currently installed modules in the Belden Horizon Data Operations device.

Activating your Belden Horizon Data Operations device does the following:

- Creates a connection to communicate with Belden Horizon Data Manager. 
- Create a default SSL connector in Integration.
- Adds a Custom CA certificate for Belden Horizon Data Manager.
- Configures a Belden Horizon Data Operations so that users can have remote access from anywhere in the world.

# Access Device Management UI

From the Belden Horizon Data Operations navigation panel, navigate to **System **>** Activation**.
The *Cloud Activation* pane appears.
